The Bayh College of Education provides graduate-level T2T programs for professional candidates who wish to earn an Indiana teaching license while simultaneously earning credit toward a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree.

T2T programs in Elementary, Secondary, and Special Education have been approved by the Indiana Department of Education and are open for enrollment. Individuals who are enrolled in approved T2T programs are eligible for a T2T permit, which allows them to begin teaching while completing the program. Explore open Indiana teaching positions . The Early Childhood T2T program is a 24-credit program that can be completed in 16-18 months of part-time study. Students may begin the program in May, August, or January. Students complete their coursework online; student teaching is required in the final semester of study. For more information, contact Dr. Malea Crosby (ISU-T2T@indstate.edu).

Admission Requirements

The Indiana Department of Education establishes the admission criteria for T2T programs.  All applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited postsecondary educational institution. You can be admitted if you meet one of the following: 

1. Hold a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution with an overall grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 or higher on a 4.00 scale.

 2. Hold a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution with an overall GPA of at least 2.50 on a 4.00 scale, and five years of professional experience.

  3. Hold both a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution and proof of passing a state-approved content area assessment in the subject area.
