The 19th Amendment to the US Constitution says that “The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.” This amendment was signed into law on August 26, 1920. In 1973 Congress designated August 26 “Women’s Equality Day.” In observation of the anniversary of the 19th Amendment, we have a few presentations this Thursday and Friday in the Library Events Area, Cunningham Memorial Library
