In Spring 2024, a project was designed using the Transparency in Learning & Teaching (TILT) approach in an attempt to help Statistics in Psychology students transition to the next course in the psychology major, Psychological Research & Writing. Over three semesters, the new TILTed assignment was used in online courses, where students may (a) have trouble feeling a sense of belonging to begin with and (b) be more likely to come from underrepresented backgrounds. This presentation will discuss the evaluation of that project’s effectiveness and impact on other important student outcomes.
