Comfort Turkson, Cordelia Nettey, and Christian Bourbai—graduate students in Indiana State University’s Master of Science Occupational Safety Management program—were awarded three of the four Central Indiana American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) scholarships, outperforming students from other universities such as IU and Purdue.

Governor Braun attended the luncheon to personally recognize organizations and employees who go the extra mile to keep their workers safe. In addition to receiving their scholarships, Comfort, Cordelia, and Dr. Mullins Jaime co-presented an educational session on managing occupational heat stress at the conference.
