Sycamore Stitchers Complete Caring Hearts Project

Hundreds of handmade crochet hearts have been placed around campus at our counseling centers, Sycamore One Stop, and the Recreation Center. Anyone can pick a heart from one of the baskets. Our hope is that each heart serves as a reminder to our students that they are valued and supported.

Sycamore Stitchers is a campus group open to staff, faculty and students that knit and crochet items to donate to various organizations in the Wabash Valley. Supplies are provided by Community Engagement, and you can use Community Service hours for the weekly meeting times.

If you would like to learn or need a brush up on your skills, we can work with you. The group meets in the Community School for the Arts classroom (Fine Arts Building, Room 115) at 11 a.m. on Thursdays. If you are interested just drop in or contact Maria Wiant for more information.
