10 to 25: The Science of Motivating Young People

Do you struggle to motivate your students? So do I!

David Yeager’s 10 to 25: The Science of Motivating Young People reveals that individuals aged 10–25 are biologically wired to seek respect, status, and social recognition. The book introduces the “mentor mindset,” which combines high expectations with high support to foster trust and motivation. Yeager uses research-based strategies to show how educators can reduce disengagement and stress by validating students’ perspectives and connecting learning to purpose. This faculty book study will explore practical ways to empower young people and transform educational culture.

The book study will be held at 9 am on the following Wednesdays:
January 28, February 11 & 25, March 25, April 22
