Professional Development Workshop: Universal Design for Learning

Would you like to optimize teaching and learning experiences in your courses? Would you like to learn about different ways to present your students with the content you are teaching? Mark your calendar and plan to attend our session on October 25, 12:00-1:00 in the FCTE. This session in the Universal Design for Learning series will explore strategies for planning and designing lessons for representing the content in different ways with a focus on meeting the diverse learning needs of all learners.

The Faculty Center for Teaching Excellence (FCTE) is offering a series of workshops on Universal Design for Learning (UDL). UDL is an evidence-based framework for planning and designing learning experiences that is based on brain science. This series of workshops will introduce UDL and then explore the different principles of UDL. Attend as many or as few of the sessions as you would like. Each session is designed to be a stand-alone learning experience as well as a part of the series. Participants may attend any session for professional development and participants may also select to extend their learning to earn a UDL certificate.
Future session (scheduled for the FCTE):

November 15, 12:00-1:00: Options and Flexibility for Assessment with UDL
Sessions will be presented by Dr. Angela McKinney, IEP Technical Assistance Specialist.
