Twelve of the best and brightest musicians from Indiana State University’s School of Music will present the President’s Concert at 2 p.m. February 12 in Boyce the Recital Hall of the Landini Center for Performing and Fine Arts.
This year’s concert spotlights a wide variety of music from classical through contemporary eras by composers such as Handel, Teleman, Lalo, Saint-Saëns, and Lippa.
The students were selected to participate based on their last semester’s outstanding performances in each area of instrumental study and include:
Singer, Holly Coffelt a senior music education major from Wabash, IN; Cellist, Emma Culver a junior music education major from Countryside, IL; Violinist, Isaiah Fortoso a sophomore music education from Elkhart, IN; Singer, Rachel Gibbens a sophomore music education major from Brazil, IN; Tubist, Quentin Hood a sophomore music business major from Portage, IN; Percussionist, Wyatt Jones a senior music liberal arts major from Terre Haute, IN; Flutist and Pianist, Hannah Kirkwood a freshman flute performance major from Marshall, IL; Singer, Matthew Russell a senior year psychology major from Clinton, IN; Euphoniumist, Lydia Shaffer a junior music liberal arts major from Romney, IN; Singer, Kaitlyn Stone a senior music education major with a theater minor from Vincennes, IN; Saxophonist, Morgen Tillema a junior music education major from Wheatfield, IN; Singer, and Braiden Shuck a junior music business from Marshall, IL.
