The Preparing Tomorrow’s Faculty Certificate Program is an initiative offered through the Faculty Center for Teaching Excellence with support from the College of Graduate and Professional Studies. The program is designed to assist graduate students in the development of pedagogical skills and dispositions associated with effective college teaching. Topics to be discussed include writing teaching philosophy statements, preparing course syllabi, developing active and student-centered learning environments, preparing assignments and assessments, and using technology in the classroom, among others. The program is free and voluntary, and is open to all graduate students with an interest in college teaching. The program will meet virtually on Tuesday afternoons from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. Enrollment is limited so encourage your students to apply today!
