Paul Bro and Kurt Fowler share a recital next week

On February 13, 2025, at 7:30 p.m., Paul Bro (saxophone) and Kurt Fowler (cello) will share a faculty recital in the Boyce Recital Hall of the Landini Center for Performing and Fine Arts. Esteemed pianist Martha Krasnican will perform throughout the entire program. Also performing are friends and university colleagues Samantha Johnson Helms, Yunjung Lee, Angela Reynolds, Andrew Riley, and Eric Scott. The program will feature music by Joel Love, David Biedenbender, Lera Auerbach, Marilyn Shude, and Frédéric Chopin.

Paul Bro has performed throughout the United States and Canada, as well as in Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. As a soloist, he has played concertos with the U.S. Navy Band, the Royal Air Force Band of Belgium, the Tambov Symphony Orchestra (Russia), and the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra.

Kurt Fowler has a distinguished career as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral musician. He has performed throughout the United States, Europe, Russia, and Vietnam. He has collaborated with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, and Syracuse Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, he served as the principal cellist of the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra.

Martha Krasnican is the director of the accompanying program at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana. She graduated with distinction from the Eastman School of Music, where she studied with Brooks Smith, Barry Snyder, and Frank Glazer.
