OLLI Wednesday Series: Weaving Perseverence

Rejection is an experience familiar to every artist, yet it is rarely discussed. In this candid and uplifting presentation on March 25 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cunningham Memorial Library, Terre Haute artist Emily Bennett reflects on the rejection letters behind her successes and the resilience that shaped her career. From sculpture and fiber art to murals and community projects, Emily has exhibited widely, taught at several universities, and served as Education Director at the Swope Art Museum. Now Program Coordinator for ISU’s Community School of the Arts, she shares how perseverance and creativity turned setbacks into opportunity. Selected works will be on display during the program and available for purchase.
