Coach Graves will speak about his Indiana basketball journey from his experience as a local high school basketball superstar, his time playing college ball at Butler University, and his experiences coaching alongside the likes of former Butler Coach and current World Champion Boston Celtics General Manager Brad Stevens. Coach Graves will then provide the audience with a behind-the-scenes look at the recruiting process and what it takes to recruit student-athletes to ISU.
ISU Men’s Basketball Coach Matthew Graves is a Switz City native and a highly decorated Butler University student-athlete. Coach Graves began his coaching career at Butler in 2001 as coordinator of basketball operations under Todd Lickliter and was promoted to associate head coach in 2010 by Brad Stevens. Coach Graves spent five years as head coach at the University of South Alabama before serving as special assistant to the head coach at Xavier University. Coach Graves joined the Sycamores as associate head coach in 2001 before being promoted to head coach in April of 2024.
