Lunchtime Concert Series

School of Music to Present

Lunchtime Concert Series

Throughout the next couple of weeks, the Indiana State University School of Music will present a series of mini-concerts during the noontime lunch hour. The programs will be presented at various locations across campus. Dr. Scott Buchanan, Director of the School of Music, is glad for the opportunity to serve the campus community. “Due to the restrictions and protocols that have been put into place during the COVID-19 situation, all of our normal concert events have been for audiences of 50 or less. Many others, especially those scheduled for the holiday season, have been canceled all together”, he said. “These programs will allow music students to do some live performing for students, faculty, and staff. People are encouraged to bring a light lunch and enjoy some live performances. There will be limited seating (socially distanced, of course) and masks are mandatory. The performances will begin around 12:10 each day, giving attendees time to grab their lunch, and end at 12:45. We hope folks will come and unwind for a bit while listening to our talented ensembles.”
