Absent Author”

Dr. Stephen Enniss is the Director of the Harry Ransom Center at the University of Texas at Austin and has acquired the archives of many of the most important writers of our time, including Salman Rushdie, Billy Collins, and Nobel Laureate Kazuo Ishiguro. Dr. Ennis will discuss acts of self-fashioning that occur at the end of an author’s life and the degree to which manifestations of authorial anxiety impact the making of the archival body.
