From Thursday, October 27th to Friday, October 28th, three ISU students competed in the case study competition at the Sport Marketing Association held in Charlotte, NC. The case study competition is created and put together by our very own professor Dr. Matthew Blaszka who is a professor in the ISU Sport Management Program. The group of students are Adrian Gonzalez, Hailey Dean, and Elle Gilkerson. These students were selected as finalist out of a record number of 20 universities competing nationally and internationally. The case study consisted of how the Charlotte Hornets could generate revenue through the use of the metaverse. These group of students are just the 3rd group in program history to make it to the SMA finalist.
The ISU Sport Management program acknowledges and appreciates support from the Center for Community Engagement for sponsoring this year’s case study through the Course Related Domestic Travel Grant.
