The Division of Student Affairs is excited to host Homecoming 2023, and are seeking volunteers to assist with the execution of several events. Volunteer opportunities are still available for the following events:
Sycamore Tricycle Derby (Trike)- Friday, October 20, 3:30-6:00 pm
This volunteer position includes serving as a pit judge. As a pit judge, you will be paired with another volunteer, to ensure the team you are assigned is following all rules to ensure the execution of a safe race. Volunteers will be trained at the beginning of their shift. This commitment is for two races that occur back to back.
Blue and White Parade- Saturday, October 21, 8:30-11 am
This volunteer position includes serving as crowd control at the corner of 9th and Wabash or 5th and Wabash.
Tailgating- Saturday, October 21, shifts are from 11:00 am-1:00 pm, 1:00-3:00 pm, and 3:00-5:00 pm.
These volunteers will be checking in with student groups and monitoring the area to ensure there is no glass, kegs, or weapons. Music levels are to remain at reasonable levels, and sober monitors are to remain sober throughout tailgating.
