HMSU, Dede II
September 18
6:00 – 8:00 pm
Celebrate Hispanic History and Culture!
Join us for an inspiring evening filled with stories, music, dance, fashion—and delicious food!
Our guest speaker is Mrs. Dilia Smith, Indiana State University alumna and Colombian-born Spanish teacher, writer, dancer, fashion designer, and more. Born and raised in Colombia, she returns to Indiana State to inspire young writers and share her journey of becoming an author.
Mrs. Smith will present her first collection of short stories and offer guidance to aspiring writers on creating and publishing their own work. She will also showcase the inspiration behind her fashion designs, including folkloric outfits that honor the traditional clothing of Colombia.
Come celebrate culture, creativity, and community—and don’t miss out on the delicious food!
