FCTE seeks Faculty Fellow for AI & ChatGPT
Position terms: Fall 2023, Spring 2024 and eligible for re-appointment

The Faculty Center for Teaching Excellence (FCTE) is seeking a Faculty Fellow for AI and ChatGPT initiatives for course and assignment redesign. The responsibilities of the position are to assist faculty in understanding AI and ChatGPT applications in the classroom. Supporting faculty updates to assignment and course design that acknowledge AI is an essential component for this position. In addition to this programming, the Faculty Fellow will assist in developing sessions for faculty who desire to include AI in their teaching. Knowledge of ChatGPT with regards to instruction, communication, and presentation skills are expected. This position reports to the FCTE Director.
The Faculty Fellow position is open to instructor, tenure-track, and tenured faculty. This one course buyout per semester position is for the Fall 2023 term and Spring 2024 terms and includes a stipend to support departmental coverage of the faculty member’s course(s). Summer work includes a stipend.
