As you consider your willingness to serve on the Presidential Search Committee, please know that it will require a significant time commitment. As has already been communicated, the hope is to have a new president named by April. This may require those serving on the search committee to contribute during traditional University breaks. The search process typically involves several planning and screening meetings as well as interviewing candidates and facilitating open sessions with campus and community stakeholders. Folks should consider the time commitment, broad timeline, and other University responsibilities when making a commitment to serve. Identifying the next campus leader is a critical responsibility for our collective future.
