The Sycamore Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) is a special one-time one-semester scholarship that has been awarded annually since 2014 to incoming freshmen. Each fall, approximately 15 SURF scholarships are awarded, and SURFers (students receiving the SURF scholarship) are matched with a SURF Faculty Mentor to work with them on a research project for the semester.
If you are a faculty member who conducts research in any discipline, consider becoming a SURF Faculty Mentor to a SURFer and help contribute to the experiential learning of our undergraduates!
