At solar noon (1:57 pm) on Monday 20 March (Equinox) the sun will shine through the Via Solaris sculpture located just north of Stalker Hall and create a sun spot on the base. This only happens twice a year. So if it is sunny at solar noon on Monday, the first day of Spring, come join us to celebrate Spring, the Sun, and Via Solaris. Come 10 minutes early to watch the progression of the sun spot as it grows from a small crescent to a full circle. It’s Spring! Let’s Celebrate!
