One of the events for Earth Day is the EARTHlings Earth Day Climate March. This is the sixth installment of the annual event that attracts many Indiana State University students, VCPS students across all grade-levels, and community members from across town and the Wabash Valley.
The event begins at the Vigo County Public Library parking lot and concludes at the speaker’s stage between the Court House and City Hall. Once there, multiple middle and high school members of the EARTHlings youth group (Environmental Activists for a Resilient Terre Haute) will speak, along with Indiana State students and Mayor Sakbun. Dr. Jim Speer and Brendan Corcoran are two of the founding parent-mentors for the group that is now led by the Jane Santucci.
