Hannah Singer, Early Childhood Education Center 2’s teacher, has been recognized by the Office of Early Childhood and Out- of School Learning as part of their new Provider Recognition Program. Of more than 180 applicants from across the state of Indiana, Hannah was one of five award recipients selected for the fourth quarter 2021 award, given in recognition of “hard work and dedication to the field of early learning”. Hannah was nominated by ECEC director Holly Curtsinger who stated, “Hannah is a wonderful asset to our program and to the profession. While the children in her care benefit greatly from her talents, her skills truly extend beyond the classroom and also encompass the more administrative aspects of an early learning environment-where we are fortunate to have her support.” Award recipients each receive materials to be used within their classroom, valued at $500.
Nominated providers must have current background checks and consent forms on file with the state and must have been with their current employer for at least 90 days. Additionally, the program where a nominee is employed must be in good standing with OECOSL and have a current PTQ rating (if participating).
Indiana State University Early Childhood Education Center provides year round childcare services and early learning opportunities for children from 6 weeks- 5 years of age.
