Dr. Szufang Chuang named COT-HRDPT Department Chair

Dr. Szufang Chuang has been appointed as the Department Chair of the Human Resource Development and Performance Technologies (HRDPT) Department effective May 1, 2020. Dr. Chuang had served as Interim Department Chair of HRDPT since September 2019.

Dr. Chuang received her B.S., M.S., and Ed.S. in Technology Management and Human Resource Development from Pittsburg State University and earned her Ph.D. in Human Resource Education from Louisiana State University. She has been serving as COT faculty in HRDPT since 2015 and currently teaches continuous performance improvement, industrial organizational psychology, ethics and technological advancement, adult learning in higher education and training, and international and cross-cultural training to undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students.

From 2008-2014, Dr. Chuang was an Assistant Professor at Fooyin University in Taiwan while holding the positions of Director of Personnel and prior to that, Associate Director for the Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence. Dr. Chuang is a certified Human Resources Professional, Hospitality Supervisor, and Hospitality Trainer, and serves on the editorial review boards of the Journal of Chinese Human Resource Management and as an invited reviewer for several reference journals and international conferences.
