Career fairs are virtual this fall; new industry-based career fairs announced

The Career Center will be hosting University career fairs virtually this fall.

The fairs will utilize the Career Center’s career services platform, Handshake. Handshake offers students access to jobs and internships to over 500,000 companies, as well as Career Center services. Since many of the Career Center’s services are offered through Handshake already, using this platform for the virtual fairs will deliver consistency for our students.

This fall the Career Center will host the following career fairs:

September 16, 2020 from 12:00-4:00 p.m. (EST):
• Accounting & Finance Career Fair
• Criminology & Criminal Justice Career Fair
• Health & Social Services Career Fair
• Technology & Engineering Career Fair
• All Majors Jobs & Internships Career Fair (previously the Fall Career Fair)

September 23, 2020 from 12:00-4:00 p.m. (EST):
• Built Environment Career Fair

Students can attend multiple fairs based on the industries they are interested in. The All Majors Jobs & Internships Career Fair is for employers looking to recruit at Indiana State University but don’t fit into the respective industry-specific categories. We will evaluate the need to add additional fairs as we continue to receive more information.

The Career Center is seeking everyone’s involvement to ensure we are preparing our students for this new endeavor. The Career Center will provide resources to our students, faculty and staff to aid in their preparation. We hope that you will share these resources with your students and market these upcoming opportunities.
