Campus power outages

On Saturday afternoon, August 7 at 3:00PM, power will be transfered at various campus buildings. This will be done in two phases.

Phase 1 will be transferring power at the following buildings. There will be a short power outage at each building during the transfer process. The outage should be one minute or less.

This power transfer is required to facilitate work as part of the medium voltage cable replacement project currently underway.

New Theater
Rec. Center
Reeve Hall
SWAM Building
Art Annex
CHHS Building-north addition

Once Phase 1 is complete, Phase 2 will be initiated.

Phase 2 may affect all or parts of the following buildings. If there is an outage, it will only last less than a minute.
This power transfer is needed in order to return electrical load to the circuit that Duke Energy had off in order to work on one of their infrastructure upgrade projects.

This transfer is to place everything back in its “normal state.”
