Blue Skies Skydiving Club

The Treehouse has a new organization—Blue Skies Skydiving Club (BSSC).

Skydiving may seem straight forward, but there are several methods (e.g., solo or attached to a tandem instructor). The club will focus on skydiving, body flight, and canopy flight. Our goal is to introduce and educate students and our local community about the sport of skydiving.

This would be a good club for anyone interested in the sport of skydiving. You do not have to be a skydiver or have a goal to skydive to be a member. You do not have to be an on-campus student to join.

Club activities will NOT involve skydiving.

If you ever do want to skydive, you can use USPA’s drop zone finder to schedule a skydive. Likewise, you can use iFly’s pulldown list of body flight wind tunnels.

The club’s advisors are Michael Hayden and Nic Tacker. Michael is a skydiving Coach and Accelerated Free Fall (AFF) Instructor. Nic is a skydiving Coach, AFF Instructor, Canopy Piloting Judge, and Safety and Training Advisor (S&TA). BSSC is registered with the United States Parachute Association (USPA).

Please spread the word about joining this new and exciting club. PS: there are no dues.
