On behalf of the Charles E. Brown African American Cultural Center and campus-wide Black History Month committee, we would like to invite everyone to our 2022 “Celebration of 50 Years of ISU Black Excellence” Black History Month. Black History Month begins the yearlong celebration of honoring the 50th Year celebration of the Charles E. Brown African American Cultural Center and the Afri department here at ISU. This month events will honor the past as we celebrate the future. We invite all students, faculty, staff, and community to learn more about our campus history pioneers who have not only changed our campus but impacted the world and will continue to do so.
A highlight is the campus collaboration for Black History Month is University Speaker Series and Charles E. Brown African American Cultural Center for the annual Black History Month kickoff. There will be a brief program in Heritage Ballroom at 5:30 pm, leading into the 7 pm campus speaker Bakari Sellers.
