CHARLOTTE’S WEB, based on the novel by E. B. White, follows Wilbur, a lively young pig saved by Fern, a kind farm girl. On Zuckerman’s farm, Wilbur meets many animals—Templeton the rat, the Goose and Gander, the Sheep, and others—but his closest friend becomes Charlotte, a wise and caring spider. When Wilbur learns he may be in danger, Charlotte saves him by spinning words like “Some Pig” and “Terrific” into her web, amazing the humans—Mr. and Mrs. Zuckerman, Lurvy, and townspeople. Wilbur becomes famous and is spared at the fair. Charlotte dies there, but her baby spiders return to the barn, keeping her spirit alive and Wilbur company.
