Additional Mental Health First Aid course offered

Faculty, staff, and students are invited to attend a Mental Health First Aid training that will teach them to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders in students. The training is Thursday, June 16 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Landsbaum Center for Health Education, 1433 N. 6 1/2 Street, on Union Hospital’s campus. The session is being added and offered free of charge due to an overwhelming response to another course to be held on campus. Participants who complete the course will earn a Mental Health First Aid certification through the National Council for Mental Wellbeing.
