The ISU School of Music invites you to join us for the 57th Annual Contemporary Music Festival, Wednesday-Friday, October 25-27, 2023. Featured festival guests include Grammy-nominated composer Miguel del Aguila, Chicago-based chamber ensemble Picosa, and English horn soloist Leonid Sirotkin. Guests will also include the winners of the national Music Now Chamber Music Contest. In addition, the festival will feature students and faculty of the School of Music in both chamber music and large ensemble settings.
The Festival includes five concerts and six discussion sessions. Showcase concerts begin at 7:30pm on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, beginning with the Opening Festival Concert on Wednesday evening in Tilson Auditiorium, then continuing with a recital by Picosa on Thursday in the Boyce Recital Hall of the Landini Center for Performing and Fine Arts. Morning and afternoon concerts will feature students, faculty, and Music Now competition winners.
