Indiana State University’s 55th Annual Contemporary Music Festival takes place from Wednesday evening, Oct. 27, through Friday evening, Oct. 29. The festival will showcase the music of Jake Runestad, widely considered one of the best young American choral composers (Chicago Tribune), along with the music of eight composition contest winners from around the country.
The Festival includes six concerts and six discussion sessions. Evening showcase concerts begin at 7:30 p.m., beginning with the Opening Festival Concert on Wednesday evening in University Hall Theater, then continuing with the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra on Thursday in Tilson Auditorium, and the ISU Student Ensembles on Friday evening in Tilson Auditorium.
