3-week attendance reporting opens on Monday, February 3 and is due by 4:00 pm on Friday, February 7. This reporting is crucial for students receiving federal financial aid.
- Attendance is defined as academic activity, virtual or otherwise. Academic related activities include but are not limited to: o Physically attending class
- Submitting an assignment (other than introductory, syllabi quiz, etc.)
- Taking an exam
- Attending a study group
- Participating in an online discussion (Important: Logging into an online class without active participation is not considered academic attendance for Title IV purposes.
- Instructions for reporting can be found on the Sycamore Root under instructions: 3-Week Attendance.
- Department Chairs should pass along reporting information to instructors or teaching assistants in their specific department. If there is a teaching assistant that cannot access the course(s) via Faculty Self-Service, the department will need to submit a request to add them as an instructor.
- Courses with a start date occurring after Friday, February 7th do not need to report.
