Careers in Student Affairs Month (CSAM) takes place every October as a time to shine a spotlight on the profession of student affairs. Throughout the month, the initiative highlights the impact of student affairs professionals, raises awareness about the pathways into the field, and fosters connections among colleagues and associations across higher education.

The goals of CSAM are to:

(1) Honor the contributions and experiences of those shaping the student affairs profession;
(2) Offer meaningful opportunities for growth and professional learning;
(3) Inspire new and future professionals to explore and enter the field;
(4) Create intentional spaces for conversation around current issues and emerging trends in higher education.

We look forward to seeing you at our events on campus the week of October 20-24. If you would like to meet with a faculty member about applying to the Student Affairs and Higher Education Program, meet us at the Graduate School Fair October 1 from 11 am – 2 pm in HMSU or contact Dr. Mary Howard-Hamilton, Professor and SAHE Program Chair, at ext. 2902 or mary.howard-hamilton@indstate.edu.
