The minimum wage for student jobs at Indiana State University will increase from $9 to $10 effective August 17, 2024.
“Many of our students rely on their campus jobs to support their education and daily expenses,” said Dr. Nancy Rogers, Vice President for University Engagement. “Raising the minimum wage to $10 per hour will provide a noticeable benefit to these students.”
Rogers said the new minimum wage is also more in line with off-campus jobs. “We know that student success outcomes are improved by working on campus,” she said. “It is important to the University to provide quality student employment opportunities to the student body.”
Student Employment will notify timekeepers and supervisors of specific details about the change. New job postings and hiring proposals starting June 10, 2024, will require a $10 minimum wage.
We have opened the supplemental funding application earlier to accompany the wage increase. You can find the Microsoft Form at this link. Please submit your requests by July 1 for priority consideration. Funding will be awarded early August.
