Campus Listening & Discussion Sessions

We see you, we hear you, and we are committed to improving. Indiana State University, a place that values diversity and inclusivity, is committed to providing everyone with a safe and inclusive environment.

In response to a student’s racist video that was posted online, we are actively working to ensure the Indiana State community feels supported and heard. Three Campus Listening & Discussion Sessions, a crucial step in addressing this issue, will be held to provide students, staff, and faculty with the vital opportunity to voice their concerns and to reaffirm our shared commitment to the values of tolerance, inclusivity, and respect for all people. These forums are about getting your perspective and also about empowering you to help us all come together to make the campus an even stronger, more unified, more supportive environment that sustains a positive sense of belonging for everyone.

Each discussion will include a large open session followed by breakout rooms.

The facilitators, led by Josh Elmore (Ombudsperson), Dr. Tiffany Reed, Dr. Heather Webb, Dr. Katie Lugar, Valerie Hart-Craig, Cody Dolly, Kimbra Pinnell, Emmanuel Jennings, Ardell Sanders, Katie Uttich, Jason Johnson, Susan Cohn, Steph Pearcy, Virginia Jedlicka, and Jack Trump, are here to guide and support you through these important discussions.

The online sessions are available to Indiana State students, faculty, and staff.  All must be logged into their ISU accounts to join the discussion.
