Greg Goode honored with the 2023 IPLI Service to Education Award

Gregory Goode, alumnus and former Executive Director of Government Relations and University Communication at Indiana State University, has supported the Indiana Principal Leadership Institute (IPLI) since its inception.  

For nearly 17 years, Greg served as the ISU’s liaison to the Indiana General Assembly, Governor’s Office and Commission for Higher Education, the United States Congress, and local governments. He is now the State Director of the Office of U.S. Senator from Indiana, Todd Young.

Greg is a proven leader passionate about public service and improving Indiana’s communities. A long-time champion of lifelong learning, his work at ISU resulted in over $140 million in external funding for campus construction projects and student success initiatives. His involvement with creating and sustaining the Indiana Principal Leadership Institute has been an incredible support since the beginning, ensuring we are connected with the members of the Indiana General Assembly and sharing IPLI’s success stories.

Greg has a lengthy history of direct involvement in higher education, economic development, healthcare, and transportation issues, having worked in Washington, D.C., for two United States House of Representatives members. He is a former Governor-appointee to the Midwest Higher Education Compact.

Greg earned two degrees from ISU: a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in history.
